I recently stayed at a 4-star hotel that provided a truly luxurious experience. Located by a river and within walking distance from midtown, this place was the perfect blend of tranquility and convenience. The hotel staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort, providing excellent service and even offering a welcome drink upon my arrival. The room amenities were top-notch, with heating, tea and coffee facilities, and a mini-bar. The spacious sitting area allowed me to unwind and relax after a long day of exploring. The flat-screen TV and comfortable mattresses added to the overall comfort of the room. Additionally, the hotel offered a wide range of services, such as tours and ticket assistance, making it easy for me to plan my itinerary. The breakfast was outstanding, with a variety of delicious options available, including special diet menus. I was impressed by the attention to detail and the high-quality food provided.
Families will find this hotel particularly appealing due to its child-friendly amenities, making it an ideal choice for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

The rooms had just been refurbished, and were very clean and comfortable. I was very impressed with the standard of the bathroom which looked like it had recently been refurbished also.
You could'nt decide on the day if you wanted breakfast or not. The hotel operates a system where you have to decide and tell reception the night before. I feel that to decide in the morning would be far better. The breakfast was very good though, a first class selection of meats, cheeses, cakes etc.

This hotel is a great base for exploring the local area, with easy access to the castle and a short walk to the town center filled with charming half-timbered houses. the rooms are clean and comfortable, with some even offering balconies and complimentary minibars. the breakfast is excellent, with warm croissants, cheeses, and cold meats available. Free parking and helpful staff make for a stress-free stay.
Be aware that there is no lift in the hotel and some stairs do not have a handrail, which may be difficult for those with mobility issues.

I loved the historic-looking hotel with the beams throughout the interior and luxurious carpets. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were friendly and competent. The hotel had lots of parking spaces, and it was in a great location near the castle with a 15-minute steep walk to the main city area.
Everything was fantastic.

A pleasant hotel that is well-suited to families with children. It is a bit out of the center of Wernigerode, about a 10-15 minute walk from the Rathaus. Breakfast is very good, but does cost 10eu.

Perfectly located in the heart of a historical town with charming medieval houses. The breakfast was abundant with a great variety of both sweet and savory items. The room was clean and comfortable, and the free parking on site was a big plus.
Our room was not suitable for travelers with heavy luggage, as it required climbing a few stairs without an elevator. the hotel’s facilities were not very accommodating for individuals with mobility difficulties.

We enjoyed our romantic escape at this cozy bed and breakfast. the homemade breakfast was delicious and the staff was really friendly. the location was great, within walking distance to the main square and close to a beautiful park. We also appreciated the spacious and clean apartment room with its own entrance.
Although the room was comfortable, the WiFi signal was pretty weak and the lighting could have been better. the check-in process was a bit inconvenient as we had to wait until 3pm to access our room.
